    HISTORY  
    In 1966, Warren Chandler and three of his fellow Athens firemen, who, like him, were working the normal firefighter routine of one
    day on and one day off. All remained with the fire department until retirement, which occurred for Warren in 1980.

    In 1977 Warren and Jeanette Chandler acquired 100 percent interest in the company from his partners and purchased Master Grave
    Service, Inc., which manufactures and installs burial vaults as well as opens and closes graves. In 1978, they purchased Athens Marble
    and Granite Company which offers monuments. Since then, the companies have been a family business with the Chandlers' children,
    Walter, Warren Jr., and Linda, participating.

    In 1994, growth of the business necessitated a move to the larger building at 1811 Atlanta Highway in Bogart.

    In November of 2014, we lost Warren "Bro" Chandler Jr. to cancer. His hands on approach in the business and great work is still felt today.

    In August of 2017, we lost our founder Warren Chandler Sr. under his leadership Master Grave Service, Inc. grew from one used panel
    truck and a borrowed wheelbarrow, shovels and picks to becoming one of the largest and most respected grave and vault service companies
    in the state. His legacy remains with his family and long time dedicated employees which he considered his family as well.

    As the time's change one thing will always remain the same. We treat your families like they are our own.

    SERVICES
    Master Grave Service Inc., installs burial vaults, opens and closes graves and also provides full service set up with 2 uniformed service
    personnel, tents, grass, chairs and above ground sealing equipment. Servicing Northeast Georgia.

    OPERATION DATES
    Master Grave Service, Inc. is open 358 days per year only closing in observance of the seven major holidays.
